United Nations is leading a global health and wellness initiative delegating every June 21st as the International Day of Yoga. Yoga is an age-old philosophy which includes Asanas (exercise), Pranayama (breathing) and Dhyana (meditation). Practicing Yoga has been proven to enhance focus, health and wellness, which is critical in achieving effectiveness and efficiency in a workforce.

In conjunction with UN’s Yoga day initiative, AmCham Shanghai is hosting a Yoga and wellbeing hour with naked Hub and BULA on June 21st. There will be two sessions available to ensure that professionals can make the most of these sessions (select one). One will start at 5.30pm, and the next one at 7:30pm.

Please register as soon as possible as space is limited. Free for AmCham Shanghai members.

Other Details: Mats & water will be provided; please make sure to bring your change of yoga clothing.

    Archarya Sudhir

    He has an extensive background in Yoga treatment and Holistic medicine. His alternative therapy dramatically improves the conditions of patients suffering from disorders such as asthma, back pain, sleeplessness, stress, anxiety disorders, etc.
    He has studied Yoga under different great Masters. In 2003, he got his bachelor degree from the Department of Science, Mangalore University, followed by a M.Sc. Master of Yogic Science from the department of Yogic Science and Human Consciousness, Mangalore University, in 2005. He then pursued his Doctoral Degree in Yogic Science where he joined as a research scholar at the internationally famous research institute called SVYASA, Bangalore, India. In 2010, he was certified as Yoga Siromano from Sivananda International Yoga Vedanta Center (USA Yoga Alliance certified), where he was awarded the “Yoga Bhaskara” (best teacher) title for his outstanding performance both as a student and a teacher trainer. He is currently the coordinator of “International Society for Yoga Consciousness” as well as a certified LIFE Member of All India Yoga Practitioners Association.
    For the past 10 years, he has been living in Shanghai and teaching workshops around China. He also works as a lecturer, Yoga therapist, life coach and Holistic practitioner where he brings together the different elements of these disciplines into all aspects of his work.

    Ivy

    Ivy is a RYT Yoga instructor. She completed the TTC200 with Duncan Wong and continued with TTC120 Bikram Yoga. She is also trained in Kid’s Yoga, Kriya Yoga and Meditation courses. She also frequently works as a Flow Arts TTC translator and assistant teacher.
    She teaches Vinyasa Flow, Bikram Hot, Yin and Kid’s Yoga. She is a caring and inspirational yoga instructor, who believes that “By doing what I love, I inspire the people around me”.
