AmCham Shanghai Suzhou Center cordially invites you to join the Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement in Non-production Areas on September 25 (Thursday), from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shangri-La Yuanqu Suzhou.
With the market environment getting more competitive, cost reduction and efficiency improvement have become a major focus. In the manufacturing industry, cost reduction activities in the direct areas (production activities) are mature and clearly focused, such as quality improvement, lead time reduction, raw material cost reduction, etc. However, it is often difficult to start in indirect areas (non-production). Many departments choose to participate by reducing office supplies, which not only has little effect but also adds inconvenience. In fact, cost reduction and efficiency improvement have huge potential in the non-production areas. If difficulties such as finding a start point, quantifying the result, and a lack of tools are removed, companies can easily achieve considerable benefits.
This event will discuss the common barriers of cost reduction and efficiency improvement in the non-production areas, share the approach, methods, and successful experiences for this topic, and help companies expand the scope of cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Corporate leaders planning to carry out cost reduction and efficiency improvement activities in non-production areas are welcome to participate, including but not limited to department heads of R&D, quality, supply chain, sales support, procurement, finance, HR, admin, and the general managers.
*NOTE: The event will be in Chinese, with English subtitles for reference.
