    South East Europe CEO of Bayer AG

    Ute Bockstegers is CEO, southeast Europe for Bayer AG. She was previously CFO for Bayer’s UK and Ireland business, Bayer plc, an entity with industry wide leading growth of revenues to more than £1bn (2012 – 2018) during her tenure. Prior to that, she was CFO for Bayer Canada, Bayer Inc.

    Ute has spent her career at Bayer, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, which operates across pharmaceuticals, crop science, and Consumer and Animal health. She rose up the sales and marketing route, has strong IT, B2B, and operations experience and has led global transformation and SAP projects. She is a Certified Accountant and holds the German equivalent of a BA. She additionally has a Chartered Director degree from McMaster University, Canada.

    An Anglophile, she lived in London, in Dublin, and in Toronto. Currently living in Vienna, she has a London base. A German national, she also holds Canadian residency.

    Ute has leveraged her breadth of business experience and cultural fluency to serve as a NED for the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership and as a Chair for the SE Region for the Confederation of British Industry.

    Eunice Nyala is Founder & CEO of Etiquette Xllent Company Ltd, a Professional Soft Skills Training and Coaching Company. She is an accomplished business professional, experienced board member & chair, and former commercial banker. She is also a seasoned executive coach and a committed community leader.

    Eunice has over 25 years of commercial financial services, leadership experience, and executive coaching having worked in the corporate sector: Absa Bank Kenya, Barclays Bank Head Office London, UK, and Barclaycard International where she was responsible for several countries in Africa. Eunice also worked at G4S Kenya at the EXCO level.

    She currently serves as a NED for KCB Bank, the largest bank in Eastern Africa with an asset base USD 9.47Bn; She is Chairperson of the Kenya Association of Women Business Owners (KAWBO) supporting 3000+ women SMEs; and served as a NED at The Foschini Group (TFG), a global retail organization listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) with 4085 outlets in 32 countries.

    Eunice is a Vital Voices Leadership Fellow and serves on the Anti-Corruption Multi Sectorial Steering Committee, Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). She is also an active volunteer with One Girl Can and Suits For Girls, both organizations focused on advancing young women.

With over 25 years of experience in China and Asia, including management roles at P&G China and J&J International, leading innovation practices at consultancies What If and Dragon Rouge and working for several start-ups, she’s known for offering her clients an optimal mix of best-practice experience and entrepreneurial savvy. A tireless supporter of women, Sarah is an active community volunteer, board advisor, and mentor and is the co-founder and co-chair of the Women’s Executive Network (WEN) and served on the Amcham Shanghai Board from 2016-2018.
