The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai's Manufacturers' Business Council (MBC) invites you to its China Manufacturing Quarterly Update Webinar on Thursday, August 20, from 9:00โ€“10:00 a.m., held virtually via Zoom.


China's manufacturing sector continues to operate in an increasingly complex global environment shaped by tariffs, geopolitical tensions, supply chain adjustments, domestic competition, and shifting economic conditions.


This new quarterly industry series brings together industry experts and senior manufacturing executives for candid, practical conversations on how companies are responding to these challenges while continuing to deliver business results. Each session will begin with a brief update on key China economic, manufacturing, and global trade developments, followed by an executive dialogue and open Q&A.


This event will be held virtually. A Zoom link will be provided by email upon completion of registration.

    Raymond Tsang

    Senior Partner at BAIN & CO

    Raymond Tsang is a senior partner in Bain & Company’s Shanghai office. He is head of the firm’s Performance Improvement practice in Asia Pacific.

    With more than 20 years’ of consulting experience, Mr. Tsang has worked almost exclusively in Greater China for more than 10 years, with deep knowledge and insights of the local market. He has served clients in a wide range of industries with a focus on industrial products, automotive, technology and logistics industries. His work includes growth strategy development, M&A and performance improvement work such as supply chain management and cost reduction.

    Mr. Tsang is also a frequent speaker at high profile forum, such as the China CEO Forum and the CEIBS Auto Forum. His perspectives on China’s automotive sector have appeared in a variety of top news outlets.

    Mr. Tsang graduated from Stanford University with a Master degree in Technology Management. He also has a Master degree in Robotics and Automated Manufacturing from the University of Toronto.

    Vice President, Asia Operation of Black & Decker (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

    Mr. Qin Zou has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, a master's degree in mechanical engineering, and a doctorate in Business Administration. From 1986 to 1990, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Maryland, College Park, conducting research in computer simulation.

    Mr. Qin Zou started his career at Black & Decker as an intern in 1989. While working in Towson as an R&D engineer, he obtained one U.S. patent and published 16 technical papers in various technical journals. In 1998, he came to the Suzhou plant as the Purchasing Manager. Today, the Suzhou plant is one of the largest plants in SBD. He currently serves as Vice President of Global Operations for Consumer Power Tools.

    In June 2006, the Governor of the State of Maryland awarded Mr. Zou the "Honorary Citizenship of the State" in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Maryland's globalization efforts.
