Dr. Shao Yu is a leading figure among the new generation of Shanghai school economists. He currently serves as Distinguished Senior Research Fellow at the National Institution for Finance & Development, Vice Chairman of the China Chief Economist Forum, and Chief Economist at the Sci-Tech Innovation Center of Fudan University's School of Management. He is also an Expert Member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People's Bank of China. He has participated in the Premier's symposium as an expert, contributing recommendations for major national economic policies. Dr. Shao has long tracked shifts in globalization and China-U.S. economic and trade relations and has conducted systematic research on the 15th Five-Year Plan, innovation-driven productivity, and supply chain restructuring. His research covers global and Chinese macroeconomics, and investment strategy. His published works include Liquidity Economics and Globalization 4.0. He has been named a China Young Economist and one of Shanghai's Top Ten Young Economic Figures.
