The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai will host an exclusive fireside chat with Robbie Fuller, Creative Director of Footwear at FILA China on Thursday, June 11, from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Chamber's Conference Room.
A self-professed sneakerhead, Robbie went from sketching basketball shoes in school notebooks to becoming one of the most influential American designers working in China's sportswear industry today.
Over the past two decades, Robbie has impacted sneaker culture across Converse, Adidas, Anta, and FILA, designing signature shoes for NBA stars including Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Garnett. Today, his work inside the ANTA Group spans performance innovation, lifestyle design, and creative direction across multiple global brands, with more than 60 patents and a 2025 Red Dot Award to his name.
During the conversation, Ted Hopkins, Vice Chair of the Chamber's Retail Committee and Robbie will explore the rise of China's sportswear industry, how Chinese brands are moving from manufacturing to cultural influence, and why the next era of sneaker culture, performance design, and global sportswear innovation may increasingly be shaped from China outward.
