On January 27, 2017, Shanghai Government announced the revised Provisions of Shanghai Municipality on Encouraging Multinational Corporations to Establish Regional Headquarters. The revised provisions are an extension of the regional headquarter policy launched in 2011 and will be effective on February 1, 2017. It has introduced some new measures which will further facilitate capital management, exit & entry procedures, talent introduction and custom clearance. It also allows district government to have flexibility on providing more facilitation for the first time. Shanghai Commission of Commerce Deputy Director of Foreign Investment Chen Hao will present an overview of the new policy and answer questions.
