The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai's Tax Committee invites you to a practical overview session on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 18 on Thursday, March 26, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Conference Room.

IFRS 18 introduces new rules for presenting and disclosing financial performance to enhance consistency, transparency, and comparability. To help companies prepare for these changes, our guest speaker, Patricia Zhang, Head of Accounting Advisory Services at KPMG China, will discuss the implications for multinational corporations operating in China and across regions, and how finance leaders can begin preparing in a structured and efficient manner, including:

  • An overview of the most significant changes introduced by IFRS 18 and why they matter
  • Identifying key gaps between current reporting practices and future requirements
  • Implications for chart of accounts design and mapping
  • Enhancements to financial reporting processes, controls, and governance
  • Considerations around Management-defined Performance Measures
