(*There is also a Government Affairs Training in Chinese available. Please click here to learn more.)
The Chinese government plays multiple roles in economic activities. Yet, its complicated structure and policy release process make it difficult for people who are not familiar with government affairs to maneuver. This course is intended for non-Government Affairs practitioners who are seeking to deepen their understanding of Chinese government affairs and advocacy practices in order to achieve better business results. The program focuses on how to identify the right stakeholders, build win-win solutions, and communicate effectively with the Chinese government.
Course Outline:
Chinese Government Affairs Basics
How is the Chinese government structured?
How can you strategically understand government affairs in the New Normal?
External Stakeholder Mapping
When presented with a specific advocacy goal, how can you design an advocacy strategy; who do you engage with; and how do you find “win-win” opportunities?
How do you establish a systematic and professional government relations network to achieve business objectives?
External Stakeholder Communication:
How do you engage the government for them to support your advocacy goals?
What are some principles to take into account when communicating with government agencies during a crisis?
How is this course different from other trainings?
1. Practical: It is designed and conducted by GA practitioners. It is loaded with best practices and offers operational templates that can serve as a practical guide.
2. Hands on: The learning is experience-based and hands-on. Participants will be presented with scenarios based on real cases, and they are required to analyze which external stakeholder they can leverage to solve the issues and why. Learning points are delivered through case studies, simulations, role playing, and feedback in an interactive discussion.
