Heather Smith is the General Manager of Shanghai United Family Healthcare. Heather has over 30 years’ health care experience and joined Shanghai team from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where she was the Corporate Vice President for Strategic Projects with NMC Healthcare. Heather lead corporate wide strategic projects and the opening of the first private women’s hospital in Abu Dhabi, Brightpoint Royal Women’s Hospital. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Heather is an American College of Healthcare Executives Fellow and a fellow with The Australasian College of Health Service Management. She is also certified in LEAN in healthcare training from the University of Tennessee.
Her major areas of expertise are in management of acute hospitals, both in the public and private sector. She has lead healthcare teams in the US, Australia, Indonesia, Qatar, UAE, and the UK.
She is proud to new lead the international staff of Shanghai United Family Healthcare, a Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited family with a 24 hours emergency room, inpatient and outpatient care for adults and children.
