Event Details
AmCham Shanghai's Tax Committee invites you to join an offline + online presentation on COVID-19: Transfer Pricing Impacts and Responses on Thursday, May 14 from 14:00-15:00(China Standard Time). This event will have a limited seating of 25 people at the AmCham Shanghai Office, which will be first come, first serve, with a live webcast on Zoom.
The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting major economic and financial markets, and virtually all industries and governments are facing challenges associated with the economic conditions resulting from efforts to address it. The COVID-19 pandemic also imposes tremendous challenges to the cross-border tax arrangements of MNCs and, in particular, their transfer pricing systems. In the current economic environment, companies should assess their transfer pricing strategy (both implementation and compliance) if any of the following conditions apply:
- Intercompany transaction volume is significant to the local entity, especially when involving cross-border intercompany transactions;
- Profit margins are expected to fluctuate during the pandemic;
- The classical limited risk model is deployed within the group; or
- Transactions are included in an ongoing advanced pricing agreement ("APA").
Join us for this event where our speakers will brief members on the key points of concern, actions to be taken, and a practical approach to transfer pricing.
Moderator: David Allgaier, Chair of the AmCham Tax Committee
