(Chinese session) Policy Workshop: Managing Hazardous Chemicals 危险化学品安全管理

近年来，危险化学品重特大事故处于上升阶段，暴露出个别化工园区和危险化学品建设项目在安全风险分析评估和管控上存在的问题和隐患。在各界的高度重视下，今年年初，中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅印发了《关于全面加强危险化学品安全生产工作的意见》 。今年9月，市政府也出台了《上海市全面加强危险化学品安全生产工作实施意见》 （下称"实施意见"），以防范化解系统性安全风险为重点，旨在强化企业安全生产主体责任、深化安全风险隐患排查。

为进一步加强会员企业的安全生产水平和风险防范能力，上海美国商会将邀请上海市应急管理局危化处李少堂副处长于12月22 日（周二）13:30 - 15:30 莅临商会办公室，为会员企业宣介《实施意见》等相关政策。与会企业还有机会聆听李处就如何提高企业危化品管理的经验和简介，并在问答环节就企业个性化问题进行交流。

Major hazardous materials incidents in recent years have drawn extensive public attention to production safety involving hazardous chemicals. In November 2019, the State Council's Work Safety Committee announced a three-month nationwide campaign to improve work safety in key industries such as hazardous chemicals, underlining increased importance of the topic. Earlier this year, the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council co-issued the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Safe Production of Hazardous Chemicals.

As the Chinese government becomes more focused on managing hazardous chemicals, companies should also develop strong work-safety plans and risk-monitoring and assessment abilities accordingly.
