In today's increasingly complex and interdependent organizational environments, conflicts of interest arise frequently. Finding constructive ways to manage conflict through empathy, connection, and heightened self-awareness is essential to navigate, mediate, and communicate effectively when the stakes are high, and the context is challenging.

This training is designed to equip leaders, project managers, and individual contributors with the self-awareness and skills needed to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders, clients, team members, and global senior leaders. It focuses on identifying and addressing the varying needs within the organizational dynamics and company politics typical of matrix organizations.

Introduction

This is an English Training. The number of participants is within 20 people.

The ability to build trust, influence, and persuade stakeholders, clients, and team members at all levels of the organization is a crucial skill when authority or coercion is not an option. In such situations, effective influencing skills are often the key to success.

For Chinese managers and staff, increasing cross-cultural awareness—especially in understanding the subtleties of nonverbal and verbal communication—is particularly important. Unintended signals of submission when interacting with assertive counterparts from overseas can lead to unnecessary challenges in cross-cultural influence. Therefore, eliminating blind spots and developing a strong global executive presence is vital in these interactions.

This training will be interactive, experiential, and insightful, using inspiring models, theories, concepts, simulations, self-assessments, roleplays, partner work, group discussions, and case studies. And importantly, the training will be conducted without the use of any PowerPoint slides.

Course Benefit

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand effective communication and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
  • Develop skills for influencing without authority in matrix organizations.
  • Learn to motivate others to support your initiatives despite competing demands.
  • Enhance emotional intelligence to identify stakeholders' urgent needs.
  • Explore influencing models like SCARF, PAC, and NVC.
