Event Details
High-level interactions between China and the United States have once again become the focus of global attention. Following Secretary of State Antony Blinken, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen visited Beijing from July 6th to 9th on behalf of the White House. Despite of the backdrop of the overall tough policies towards China under the Biden administration, numerous well-known figures from the American business community made trips to China as well, seeking contact and communication. They have shown their confidence in China's economic development prospects, which indicates that economic and trade cooperation has always been the "ballast stone" and "propeller" of US-China relations. As emphasized by officials from the Chinese Ministry of Finance, the essence of US-China economic and trade relations is mutual benefit and win-win cooperation—there will be no winners in trade wars or "decoupling."
