Long time Shanghai residents, Stephen White and Patrick Cranley will share their insights, photos and stories of the city's development over the past 25 years. Through the lens of an Architect/designer, Stephen will trace the development of Shanghai's infrastructure modernization from the early 1990s from the city's commercial center in Hongqiao to sky scrapers in Nanjing Road and of course the birth of Lujiazui. While Patrick, an expert in early 20th Century Shanghai will discuss both the impact on the built environment and social fabric of a modernizing city.
