As China's appetite for imported food products continues to grow, so too does the market's attractiveness to foreign importers. And yet accessing this market requires navigating a complex maze of import laws and regulatory authorities that are certain to cause headaches for any importer not familiar with the system. To better help foreign brand owners understand how to move through this space, the AmCham Shanghai will host a roundtable discussion from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on December 11 by David Ettinger, Chief Representative in Keller and Heckman's Shanghai China office. David and his legal team will discuss the government relationship in food safety management, focusing on the structure of regulatory bodies and their recent reshuffling, the country's food safety legislation and standard system, and how foreign companies can most effectively develop internal protocol to best ensure compliance with Chinese regulations.
This event is free for AmCham Shanghai Government Policy Support (GPS) members. For more information about the GPS program, please contact Daniel Rechtschaffen at daniel.rechtschaffen@amcham-shanghai.org. This program is off record, and the seating is limited.
