Human food consumption has a massive impact on the environment, consisting of nearly 33% of our global footprint as a result of the heavy consumption of CO2 heavy agricultural products, such as beef, and waste of 30-50% of food created. With the desire to create a more sustainable environment, a higher emphasis expands around the intersection of healthy diets and sustainability. As the Chinese government acknowledges the importance of supporting healthier habits and taxes increase on goods that promote an unhealthy diet, companies will need to evolve their business modal to these new tastes.
Join AmCham Shanghai to discuss how the intersection of planetary and personal health impact the food we eat, how countries around the World are addressing these issues and what is the impact for business in China.
Mike Rosenthal, the Chair of the Environmental Committee, will host this event and moderate the discussion with AmCham Shanghai.
