AmCham Shanghai's HR Committee, Education Committee and Future Leaders Committee cordially invite you to join a Summer Networking Mixer on August 23 from 18:30-20:30 at Lychee.
August 23rd is "chu shu 处暑" in the Chinese lunar calendar, which means the "end of heat" in Chinese. According to folklore, the scorching summer is supposed to end after this day, with most parts of China entering autumn. Come network and mingle with industry people after a busy workday and celebrate the beginning of the new season!
We will host this event at Lychee, a trendy restaurant set up in a beautifully decorated three-story lane house just off West Fuxing Road. Lychee will serve their signature drinks, a variety of cold dishes and local cuisine. Vegan-friendly options will also be available.
The Human Resources Committee provides a forum for members responsible for managing human resource issues. The committee works to exchange information related to human resource concerns in the Shanghai region in a confidential setting. The committee also strives to provide information and networking opportunities for all AmCham Shanghai members who have an interest in human resource issues, from in-house HR practitioners, to executive coaches, headhunters and other HR-related services.
The Education Committee serves as a forum for AmCham Shanghai members in the education field where they can interact and address industry issues and needs. It provides a resource base for sharing information about the latest training and talent development methods through events and programs, and it also allows members to discuss best practices when it comes to organizational capacity building for academic institutions, training companies, coaches and educators.
The Future Leaders Committee aims to connect, develop and empower members of AmCham Shanghai under the age of 39 through programs, training and activities focused on personal and professional growth for leadership development. The committee encourages and supports young professionals so they can develop their leadership skills.
