Event Details

Over the last several years, Chinese investors have been on a buying spree snapping up assets ranging from soccer teams to semiconductor manufacturers around the world. What has driven this global investment gold rush? Where are investments being made and why? And what impact have government efforts to impose additional capital controls and rein in large Chinese firms had on outbound investment?

Keynote:
- Tim Stratford, Managing Partner at Covington & Burling

Opening and Closing Remarks:

- Jason Marczak (Director, Latin America Economic Growth Initiative, Atlantic Council)

Panel Discussion:
- Robert Theleen (Founder and CEO, ChinaVest)
- Mark Harrison (Partner, Deal Advisory, KPMG)
- Sean Miner (Associate Director and Fellow, China-Latin America Initiative, Atlantic Council)
