Working towards a sustainable future requires collaboration to go further than we ever could alone, leadership to make the right choices, and commitment to solving real problems. To help organizations move past the discussion table and take action, the 2023 AmCham Shanghai CSR Conference and Awards invites business leaders, government, and non-profit organizations to celebrate significant contributions to CSR and sustainable communities in China, share pertinent and inspiring ideas through panel discussions, and congratulate the winners of this year's awards.

This year's awards and conference, themed "Sustainable Futures: Collaboration, Leadership, & Solving Real Problems", will be held on Friday, December 1st from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center and will feature four panel discussions in addition to the announcement of the winners. The panelists will be sharing their own business cases that can help us develop the mindset and toolset for change and inspire and equip attendees to return to their organizations with fresh new perspectives. Make sure to stay until the end to partake in the cocktail mixer from 6 to 7 pm.

This year's awards and conference will also feature an NGO Fair where NGOs and social enterprises may join as free exhibitors.

We offer four award categories this year — the Innovation Award, the Collaboration Award, the NGO/Social Enterprise Award, and the Changemaker Award. These awards are aimed to showcase and recognize organizations that have made significant contributions to the CSR and sustainability communities in China, and are open to any corporations, organizations, and institutions, including Chinese and international ones.

With 15 years of leadership in China's CSR development, the Annual AmCham Shanghai CSR Awards serves as a platform for corporations, social enterprises, and ESG professionals to share their best practices in creating shared value, corporate purpose, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitment, social innovation, environmental initiatives, educational efforts, sustainable supply chain, community outreach, employee wellbeing, public health and safety, employee engagement, and public-private partnerships.

Over the last few years, we have observed a shift in focus from externalized programs to those that incorporate ESG into the business model. By bringing together businesses, government, and non-profit organizations onto a single platform, these awards aim to support organizations in becoming more resilient and in tune with shifting societal needs.
