Formerly she was Managing Director at Accenture, VP of Strategy of Publicis Sapient, and Head of Marcomms of Michael Kors and Tory Burch.


Joyce will chat with our Future Leaders Committee Chair Eric Hoang about Joyce's multiple roles in the corporate world and as an influencer, whether there is such thing as balance in life, finding passion and fulfillment outside of work, and about recently becoming a mom.

    Joyce Ling is WikiCookJoyce, food & cooking WeChat KOL influencer when she’s not managing a large team at Wunderman Thompson as Chief Strategy Officer. Joyce lived in Taiwan before her family moved to the Bay Area. She attended the University of California Santa Barbara with a dual major in fine arts & Chinese literature.

    Joyce is Chief Strategy Officer of Wunderman Thompson Greater China. Joyce had a successful 19-year career at LVMH, Michael Kors, SapientRazorfish and McCann Worldgroup, where she led successful brand marketing, communications and digital transformation strategies for over 100 brands across the region.

    Joyce's experience reaches across multiple industries including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer tech, luxury, cosmetics, health and wellbeing, hospitality, and lifestyle brands. Her most recent assignment was China Chief Strategy Officer at McCann Worldgroup. Prior to that, she was the Vice President of Strategy at SapientRazorfish under Publicis Groupe.

    In addition to her professional marketing role, she is WikiCookJoyce, food & cooking WeChat KOL influencer, chief consultant for Food & Wine magazine, and the author of two Amazon best-selling cookbooks.

    Eric is the Director of Strategic Planning and Business Transformation at Herbalife Nutrition for China, where he also manages the China Growth and Impact Investment Fund. His team is responsible for strategy development, M&A, and digital transformation.

    As the youngest member of Herbalife’s China Leadership Team, Eric has championed the company’s 5-year plan, product strategy, digital strategy, organizational restructuring, and entry into sports nutrition and esports. Eric was formerly at Herbalife’s global headquarters in Los Angeles covering a wide range of areas such as international expansion, new product development, and supply chain.

    Eric is also the Co-founder of Zeya, an alcoholic sparkling beverage brand. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Analyst for Pacific Mercantile Bank. He received his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Michigan.
