Zhangjiang Tour: Lenovo, Microport & Shanghai International Medical Center Visits

Event Details:

Zhangjiang has become a destination for many Chinese scientific and technology companies. To provide members with a better understanding of the innovation and development environment in the area, AmCham Shanghai has organized a tour of leading Chinese companies in Zhangjiang on the afternoon of May 17. The company visits will include a tour of the facilities and opportunities to speak to company executives. Following the tour, participants will have the opportunity to meet with Chinese company executives at a casual networking session. The event will be conducted in Chinese and participants must be approved by the companies. In order to obtain necessary approvals for participants, registration for this event will be closed at 11 AM on May 13. Final confirmation of successful registration will be at the discretion of AmCham Shanghai.

The visit will include:

• Lenovo Group​: Lenovo is a joint US-Chinese MNC which manufactures PCs and other computer equipment. Participants will visit the Lenovo Innovation and Technology Park and view some of the company's cutting-edge technologies and products. Lenovo representatives will accompany participants and provide insights into the company's business strategy.
• MicroPort Scientific Corporation​: MicroPort Scientific Corporation is a leading manufacturer of high-end medical devices that was founded in Shanghai in 1998. During the tour, participants will visit the company and meet with senior executives to learn more about the company and its China strategy.
• Shanghai International Medical Center:​ SIMC is a joint venture between the Shanghai and Central government to pilot medical reform programs. During the visit, SIMC will introduce its unique model and exchange views with participants on the healthcare environment.

• 上海国际医学中心：​上海国际医学中心是上海和中央政府共同成立的试点医疗改革项目。在参观期间，上海国际医学中心将介绍其独特的模式，并与参与者就医疗环境进行交流。
