AmCham Shanghai's Retail Committee and Real Estate, Design & Construction Committee invite you to the Will Retail Sales Bounce Back Soon? on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 10:00 - 11:30 am at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center.


The domestic retail industry's recovery is extremely important for China's economy over the next several quarters. This event will explore the role and importance of brick & mortar locations, even as e-commerce penetration continues to increase, as well as projected government action to restore domestic consumption. We will explore trends in the retail property markets, such as the rise of new domestic brands and how landlords should interact with them.


We hope you'll join us for this discussion of the retail industry, including industry headwinds and property market factors.

    Eva Ng

    VP, Retail Measurement Product Development at NielsenIQ China

    Eva now serves as VP of NIQ China responsible for overall product strategy and development for market information and analytics solutions tailored for the FMCG retail industry. Her role includes monitoring overall FMCG market development to shape NIQ product and solution strategies to provide new information insights to the FMCG industry, including strategic partnership and M&A opportunities. She is also responsible for the overall digital transformation of NIQ measurement solutions in China.

    Eva is a seasoned FMCG retail veteran with more than 20 years of experience in NielsenIQ spanning across Greater China and Asia Pacific markets, with a recent 10 years focus on China.

    Before her Product Leadership role, Eva has been providing consultation services to key FMCG retailers and manufacturers in China and across Greater China. She is specialized in helping retailers and manufacturers monitor market performance, understand the competitive landscape, and identify growth opportunities by utilizing different information and analytics. For retailers, apart from the overall business performance management, she and her team also provided support to retailers from the operation, and merchandising to marketing perspectives.

    She is a regular speaker at retail and FMCG industry events and provides insights on how companies can leverage the latest retail and consumer trends to win and spur growth.

    Eva is originally from Hong Kong and moved with her family to Shanghai 6 years ago.

    Clarence Lee (Lee Chun Fai), the Senior Commercial Director for Shui On Xintiandi. He is now the commercial head of Taipingqiao (Xintiandi Plaza, Shanghai Xintiandi, Xintiandi Style I &Ⅱ, HUBINDAO, CXCC)/ Panlong /Wuhan Projects and responsible for leasing, marketing, and operation management. Before joining Shui On Group, Clarence served in Swire Properties and played important roles in Pacific Place, TaiKoo Li Sanlitun, and INDIGO. Then he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of HKRI Taikoo Hui. He is well experienced in the management of commercial real estate projects, including strategic
    planning, leasing, and integrated marketing.
