As a response to Russian hostilities in Ukraine, the United States joined by allies and partners from around the world have swiftly imposed unprecedented sanctions and export controls on critical areas of the Russian economy. These sanctions seek to isolate Russia from the global financial system and trade order while crippling its access to cutting-edge technology. Individuals close to the Kremlin in Russia and across the European Union, all major Russian banks, and critical Russian companies are included in the current sanctions regime. And now, key Russian banks have been locked out of the SWIFT payment system. These actions will directly impact US businesses operating in China.

AmCham Shanghai's Legal Committee invites you to join us on March 10 from 9:00 - 10:00 am for the webinar Russian Sanctions: What do US Businesses in China Need to Know? We have invited Cari Stinebower, Partner at Winston & Strawn and former council for the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control to discuss the implications of the latest sanctions. She will provide essential information for US businesses in navigating the complexities of these unprecedented sanctions.

The webinar will be held via Zoom. The event link will be sent to all attendees via confirmation email once you register for the event.
