Event Details

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) will return in November 2021 for its fourth year. One of the largest trade fairs in the world, CIIE has hosted 10,000 exhibitors, including many Global Fortune 500 companies, since its 2018 debut. CIIE offers valuable opportunities for both companies with a local presence as well as those unable to travel to China due to COVID-19.


AmCham Shanghai is pleased to welcome Ye Tian, Assistant to the General Manager, Exhibition Division at the CIIE Bureau, as well as Qingyun Li, Manager at the CIIE Bureau, to introduce this year's fair, including how to register to participate and what benefits companies can get from joining. Following CIIE's presentation, Veli-Antti Ruismäki, General Manager at China Sage Consultants, will present on trade show strategies and how companies that cannot visit China due to COVID-19 restrictions can still take part.

    Veli-Antti Ruismäki is the General Manager, China at China Sage Consultants where he oversees sales project execution, new business development and overall operations, offering foreign companies an efficient and affordable approach to China market. Working with both big and small foreign enterprises in China for over 13 years, he has extensive experience market-entry and sales in China.

    Visiting over a dozen tradeshows yearly both as an exhibitor and a visitor, Veli has accrued a wealth of knowledge over the years on how companies can get the most out of their tradeshow experience in China.

    Veli has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and is pursuing his Master’s in Service Design. He is fluent in Finnish, English and Chinese.
