Event Details

AmCham Shanghai's Financial Services Committee (FSC) will be hosting an Open Attendance event. The new date has been confirmed as Wednesday, April 20 from 12:00-1:30 pm. This event is now exclusively online via Zoom.

The topic event, "Is China Still Investable?" will take us on a deep dive into the implications of China's regulatory crackdowns on the attractiveness and valuations of China assets both onshore and offshore. The question will be explored from the perspectives of an onshore VC fund, former U.S. Consul General, and offshore macro-investor. The session will be kicked off with an overview by Han Shen Lin, NYU Shanghai Assistant Professor of Practice in Finance and Board of Governors member. Our esteemed panelists will include Michael Zhang, Managing Partner, Softbank China VC, Brett Barna, CIO Barna Family Office, and Ken Jarrett, Senior Advisor, Albright Stonebridge Group, former President, AmCham Shanghai, and former U.S. Consul General, Shanghai.

Each panelist brings a thoughtful perspective on a range of topics including the China real estate market, technology company valuations, regulatory signaling, economic policy, and the broader investment landscape ahead. This is an event not to be missed! We look forward to seeing you!
