The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai cordially invites you to "The AI Answer Economy: What Happens When Answers Become Cheap?" on Tuesday, October 20 at the Chamber's office.
Professor Leo S. Lo, Dean of Libraries, University Librarian, and Special Advisor to the Provost on AI Literacy at the University of Virginia, will examine how generative AI is changing a fundamental behavior of the internet: instead of searching through multiple sources, people are increasingly receiving synthesized answers. As answers become more abundant and readily available, the value of human judgment becomes increasingly important. The discussion will explore what this shift means for decision-making, information consumption, and how we can work effectively with increasingly capable AI.
