AmCham Shanghai's Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility Committee and Real Estate, Design, and Construction Committee invite you to join us for a discussion of Sustainable Building and the Circular Building Economy on May 31, 2023, 10:00 - 11:30 AM at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center.

The average 30-story office tower generates nearly 3,000 tons of CO2 per year, as well as nearly 1,000 tons of waste. Depending on the length of average tenancy, the carbon emissions from refitting offices when they change hands can be nearly four times greater. This session will include a panel of leading stakeholders on the issue of sustainability in building and the circular building economy, and how businesses can align themselves to this important opportunity.

Panelists, including representatives from the development, retail, and building industries, will discuss the carbon impacts of building and interior refits today. They will also look forward to demonstrating how all stakeholders can work to move towards a circular, sustainable model of development and occupancy, ultimately reducing the carbon intensity of their operations.
