WHY MENTOR WALKS

• Succeeding in our careers doesn't just happen. All of us need advice, help, and networks to find clarity and opportunities.

• As entrepreneurs and businesswomen, we know that finding wise people to guide you isn't easy, so we started Mentor Walks to make it easier to find support and networks that will help you.

• We also know the research - that mentoring is a key contributor to career success; that walking and talking come easily to most women; and that exercise helps us think creatively and clearly!

• And we're very proud to have been a consistent voice as we start our 8th year of Mentor Walks in Shanghai.

• We hope you're able to join us in our mentoring journey and continue the spirit of exchange and giving back to the community we live in.

Mentor Walks Shanghai is organized by M on the Bund, AmCham, AustCham, BenCham, BritCham, IPWS, and La Ruche.

Mentor Walks brings together established women leaders and emerging women leaders in our community for a morning walk to discuss professional and personal successes, challenges, and aspirations. Mentees have the incredible opportunity to seek advice from seasoned professionals, who provide an open ear, honest feedback, and meaningful guidance. Mentor Walks is having a direct and measurable impact on employment opportunities. Women are being hired and hired as a result of Mentor Walks. They are also taking significant career steps and developing as leaders. During COVID-19, the program is also keeping women connected to the workforce and has an important impact on mental health.

If you're new to Mentor Walks you'll be paired with a mentor who has walked before.

A few other key bits of info: You can do as many or as few walks over the year as suits you, simply sign on for the month if you're free, and please note that mentors are not obligated to give business cards/contact information to mentees, or to follow up in any way unless they wish to.

Please also note that Mentor Walks will now cost 50 RMB throughout the year and we kindly ask that everyone involved donates 100 RMB to Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) for the first and last walks. We don't take cash on-site and no refunds or fapiaos. Please book online before you come.
