In light of new challenges facing manufacturers in China today, many companies have considered moving their production to ASEAN countries. Labor advantages, favorable business conditions and, of course, much lower tariffs make other countries in the region competitive options. While the idea of completely severing ties with their China operations is infeasible for most, a diversified supply chain would insulate enterprises from political risks outside of their control. It all looks like the smart move on paper, but how does it actually play out on the ground?

Join AmCham Shanghai's Supply Chain Committee on September 25th to hear industry experts discuss the benefits and challenges of diversifying supply chains.
