This year, 338 companies shared their views and insights on a wide range of topics, including company performance, ESG drivers, headcount, investment, mobility, production locations, regulatory barriers, and the impact of a new US administration.

AmCham Shanghai Nanjing Center cordially invites you to our member briefing on the release of 2021 China Business Report on Tuesday, Sep 28, from 14:00 - 16:00. This afternoon session is a rare opportunity to learn what your industry peers think about the operating environment in China. Previously, Ian worked as a freelance journalist and as a reporter at Reuters in New York. His writing appeared in the Financial Times, Asia Money and several other newspapers and magazines. Born in Singapore, Ian has worked in Beijing, Hong Kong, London, New York and Sydney. His background includes a master’s degree in international affairs with a concentration in East Asian studies.

    Alex Pearlman is a senior manager with PwC China in the People & Organisation Consulting practice based in Shanghai. He works with clients across many different industries (including consumer markets, financial services, pharma, and telecom), helping them with large-scale organization transformation, culture evolution, and operating model design. Recently, Alex transferred from PwC US where he was part of the Strategy& organization strategy practice based in Washington, DC.
    Alex is part of a network of practitioners that works with The Katzenbach Center, PwC’s global institute for organizational culture, leadership and teaming. Through his work, Alex helps clients realize business results using a culture-focused and behaviour-led approach to transformation that makes change stick.
    Alex holds an MBA in corporate strategy, organizational change, and human capital from Columbia Business School.
