    Managing Director, Chief China Economist and Head of China Equity Strategy at J.P. Morgan

    Haibin Zhu, Managing Director, Chief China Economist and Head of China Equity Strategy at J.P. Morgan, is also the head of Greater China economic research. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2011, Mr. Zhu was a research economist at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) for a decade. His areas of expertise include China economy, banking regulation and financial stability, and asset allocation. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals including Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Banking and Finance, and International Journal of Central Banking, and won best paper awards in areas of real estate valuation, fixed income and banking. Currently he is a column writer for Caijing and Caixin, adjunct research fellow at the National Institute of Financial Research (NIFR), Tsinghua University, and adjunct professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).
    Mr. Zhu obtained a Ph.D. degree in economics from Duke University and, a M.A. from the Graduate School of People’s Bank of China, and a B.S. from Beijing University.
