AmCham Shanghai is pleased to invite you to the May 9 Monthly Member Briefing at the Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai, which will feature a conversation with Simon Lichtenberg, founder and CEO of Shanghai Trayton Furniture.

In the late 1980s, Simon Lichtenberg came to Shanghai to study Chinese at Fudan University. Today, the entrepreneur employs 2000 people at Trayton, his sofa and seat manufacturing company. Despite the travails of Covid and tariffs, he exports over 1000 containers' worth of furniture a month. Please join us at the May 9 Monthly Member Briefing to hear how Lichtenberg turned a $50,000 loan into the one of the world's largest furniture manufacturers, why he hasn't offshored production to Vietnam, and what it was like playing music in a Fudan band not long after Wham! toured China.

Admission to this event is complimentary. This is a member only event and is off the record, seats are limited. All members are required to wear a Business Card during the event for identification purposes. We are unable to accommodate non-member guests at this briefing.
