AmCham Shanghai is pleased to announce that US Consul General Scott Walker will be the featured speaker at the March Monthly Member Briefing on March 12 at the Swissotel Grand Shanghai. CG Walker will brief members on the latest developments on the US-China relationship and newest initiatives from the US Consulate. He will also take questions from the audience.


Admission to this event is complimentary. This is a member only event, seats are limited. All members are required to wear a Business Card during the event for identification purposes. We are unable to accommodate non-member guests at this briefing.

    Consul General at U.S. Consulate Shanghai

    Scott Walker is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service and Consul General at the U.S Consulate General in Shanghai. He previous assignment was Director of the Office of Korean and Mongolian affairs and from 2018-2021 he was the Spokesperson at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. He has served as the Republic of Korea Unit Chief in the Office of Korean Affairs; the Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto; the Press Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai; the “embedded” Public Diplomacy Officer at the Office of Korean Affairs; and as a Pearson Fellow on Capitol Hill.
    He has a BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz and an MA from San Francisco State University.
