Introduction

AmCham Shanghai's Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility Committee invites you to join a factory tour followed by a guided discussion at LEGO's factory in Jiaxing on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 12:15 to 19:00.


The subsequent guided discussion will revolve around two primary topics:

  • The main considerations for companies setting sustainability targets, including brand positioning, business growth strategy, risk management, and investment strategy
  • Managing challenges in data availability and reliability in sustainability


Transportation will be provided for this event: check-in will be at Infinitus Xintiandi from 12:15-12:30 and a bus will depart from Infinitus Xintiandi at 12:30. Please be on time.

LEGO Toy Manufacturing (Jiaxing) Company Ltd. was established through investment by LEGO System A/S in March 2023. The Jiaxing factory runs with the same standards of technology and automation as other LEGO factories in Europe and the Americas.


By the end of 2021, LEGO's Jiaxing factory supplied more than 90% of APAC market demand. Its expansion, which started in 2021, will lead to the construction of a new production space and an automated warehouse in 2024 in order to further enhance supply capacity to fulfill growing APAC market demand.
