Event Details

As the most high-profile political meeting, the "Two Sessions" are set to open on March 4 in Beijing this year. Over the course of the convention, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the National People's Congress (NPC) will discuss and decide the development goals for 2023. In particular, the session will determine policy directions that guide both the political and economic agenda of the government. To provide members with insights on the "Two Sessions" and possible impact on business, AmCham Shanghai is hosting a briefing by Bill Klein, Partner at FGS Global. The briefing will focus on major policy initiatives as well as implications for foreign businesses as China transitions from zero-Covid policy to a renewed focus on economic development.

This event is part of the AmCham Shanghai Government Policy Support (GPS) briefing. The GPS series brings together different voices to deep-dive into Chinese government policy and its effects on American companies in China. The policy webinars will focus on China's foreign relations, business in China and regulatory environment in China.
