Join to hear examples from inside and outside the industry that will give you new perspectives on automation techniques and tech that can help improve your operations. The session begins with cases from companies that have had success in implementing automation in logistics. After looking at methods from other industries, innovative manufacturers will discuss what approaches they've taken to gain an edge. This comprehensive event aims to help you decide if more automation would benefit your business.

    Partner at Bain & Company

    Raymond Tsang is a partner based in Bain & Company's Shanghai office. He is the co-leader of the firm's Asia-Pacific Performance Improvement practice and a leader in the Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Energy & Natural Resources practices. He is also an expert in Bain's Automotive and Supply Chain Management practices.

    He has served clients in a wide range of industries with a focus on industrial products, automotive, technology and logistics industries. His work includes growth strategy development, M&A and performance improvement work such as supply chain management and cost reduction.

    He earned a master’s degree in engineering management from Stanford University.

    Florian Weihard is Industry 4.0 and Fuel Cell Specialist and Chief Technology Officer from Germany with extensive Engineering, Innovation and General Management background. He has completed his mechanical engineering studies at OTH Regensburg, Germany in 2009. After starting his career as design engineer in R&D in Germany in the same year, he moved to China in 2010. Over the following years, he set up and managed engineering offices and plants in China, Singapore, USA and Malaysia. Since 2015, he has been focusing on Industry 4.0 and Digitalization Technologies. As CTO, he is responsible for the Innovation Management and Technology Development in ruhlamat Automation Technologies as well as for the Digitalization Division as GM of ruhlamat Smart Technologies. He is also the Co-initiator and Technology Expert of the Smart Manufacturing Application Sharing Forum as well as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of DUSA European Companies Suzhou Association. He was selected as candidate of Jiangsu High-Level Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Introduction Program and won the award of 2018 Jiangsu High-Level Innovation and Entrepreneurship High Skilled Talent.

    ruhlamat is a German High-tech automation machine builder with almost 60 years of manufacturing experience. It has locations in Germany, China, USA, India and Asia-Pacific areas with a combined total of approximately 1,200 employees.

    Francis Zhao is a Demand and Supply Chain Manager at Enics China, where he heads an organization both in Suzhou and Beijing Factories of covering the functions of Demand and Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Total Cost Management, Customer Service, Procurement Operation, Logistic Operation. Previously Francis worked in Enics as Global Sourcing Manager and Group Senior Supply Chain Manager.
    Currently Francis is also setting up Malaysia Factory and Hongkong Purchase Office Supply Chain for Enics Group.

    Francis has 23 years experience in supply chain. He previously held senior roles in Panasonic, Ericsson, DHL-SinoTrans, A-Dec, and Sinbon New Energy Division. He currently works as a Senior Expert at the Shanghai University Demand Chain Institute and Beijing BBMC Consulting Company, where he is involved in research and analysis on supply chain, and provides trainings and workshops for important market players in the industry electronics field.
