The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai will host a fireside chat with Norman Givant, Chair of the Chamber from 1988–1991, on Wednesday, November 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chamber's office.

Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Though originally founded in 1915, the Chamber shut down in 1950. It reopened in 1987 with 35 members, one of whom was Norman.

Norman will discuss his long career in China, including as managing partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer China Practice, and his pivotal role in reestablishing the Chamber.
