Following the presentation, the E&CC Vice Chair, Boon Kim Fam, Senior Counsel for Compliance and Privacy and APAC will moderate a panel discussion with both external legal advisors and seasoned in-house compliance experts to share both their experiences and best practices to develop and nurture a positive corporate environment that thrives on promoting and championing a strong speak-up culture.     Ms. Su Yan, General Counsel of Coca-Cola Greater China & Mongolia Operating Unit.

    Ms. Su Yan joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2004 as the legal director of Shanghai Shen-mei, the biggest bottler of The Coca-Cola Company in Asia Pacific at the time. Ms. Su became the General Counsel of Coca-Cola Bottling Investment Group China in 2007 and appointed as General Manager – Reputation Management in 2010. In 2015, Ms. Su Yan had been assigned to The Coca-Cola Company corporate office in Atlanta as the senior managing counsel responsible for franchise bottler related legal matters worldwide. In 2018, she has appointed as the General Counsel of Coca-Cola Greater China & Mongolia Operating Unit covering the territories cross mainland China, HK, Macau, Taiwan, and Mongolia.

    Dr. Tim Klatte is a Partner and Head of the Shanghai Forensic Advisory Services practice of Grant Thornton China. With 27 years of China-related experience, and over 15 years working in Shanghai, Tim holds expertise in multi-industry compliance operations (including policy management, monitoring, training, and communications, whistleblower hotline, integrity due diligence, and forensic investigations) to organizations in China and Asia. He holds both an MBA and DBA, with concentrations in International Business. He is the Chairman of the AmCham Shanghai Ethics & Compliance Committee and the Co-Chairman of the American Bar Association, China Committee. Tim is also an Adjunct Professor in Webster University’s MBA Program teaching courses on “Globalization” & “Anti-Competition & Anti-Monopoly Issues.” Finally, Tim is currently co-authoring a book on corporate compliance in China titled Ethically Powered.
