AmCham Shanghai is pleased to announce that U.S. Consul General Scott Walker will join our December Monthly Member Briefing on December 15, 2025 at The Sukhothai Shanghai. CG Walker will share an inside perspective on current U.S. government thinking, including recent developments following the trade truce. The session will also provide members with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the Consul General and offer industry insights that contribute to a clearer understanding of today's commercial landscape.


Admission is complimentary. This is a members-only event with limited seating. All attendees are required to wear a business card for identification purposes. We are unable to accommodate non-member guests.

    Consul General at U.S. Consulate Shanghai

    Scott Walker is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service and Consul General at the U.S Consulate General in Shanghai. He previous assignment was Director of the Office of Korean and Mongolian affairs and from 2018-2021 he was the Spokesperson at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. He has served as the Republic of Korea Unit Chief in the Office of Korean Affairs; the Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto; the Press Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai; the “embedded” Public Diplomacy Officer at the Office of Korean Affairs; and as a Pearson Fellow on Capitol Hill.
    He has a BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz and an MA from San Francisco State University.
