Bill Porter比尔·波特, aka Red Pine赤松 – American author/translator of over thirty Chinese cultural, poetic and religious books, including Road to Heaven空谷幽兰, Zen Baggage禅的行囊, Finding Them Gone寻人不遇, Poems of the Masters花影明月送将来, The Silk Road丝绸之路, and most recently Dancing with the Dead与故人舞, with a same titled documentary film to be premiered later this month. He is recipient of the American Academy of Arts & Letters Award, and the "2023 Special Book Award of China", presented by China’s State Press and Publication Administration.

Bill shares with us how he discovered China’s hermits in the mountains, the secret of translation of Chinese poetry, and his current journey to pay tribute to one of China’s most revered poets – Su Dongpo苏东坡.
