AmCham Shanghai invites you to join Geli Dong, an independent researcher of Shanghai history, on August 6 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, to talk about his adventures in Shanghai. Geli Dong has been exploring Shanghai for over 20 years, collecting over 1,000 antique artifacts and has given numerous lectures on the history of the city. Since 2018, he has held several exhibitions of his Shanghai collections.

During the art talk, Geli Dong will introduce his collection of nameplates that belonged to some vanished streets. With the demolition and replanning of this city, many streets that once vividly existed silently disappeared. But his visits and collections document this phase of Shanghai history. Geli Dong will bring part of his collection to the talk. The audience will be able to view these pieces of history and experience details of Shanghai they may have never truly noticed.

上海美国商会文化艺术委员会邀请您于2020年8月6日5：30至7：00参加由上海史独立研究者格里董讲述的"上海城市漫游记"。他漫游上海超过20年，收藏上海物件超过1000件，做过关于城市历史的诸多讲座，2018年起，多次办过上海主题的实物收藏展览。

在这次讲座中，格里董讲着重介绍他收藏的消失马路的路牌。随着城市的拆迁和重新规划，很多曾经生动存在的马路，无声无息的消失了，仿佛从未存在，而格里董的走访和收藏，把这段历史记录了下来。格里董会带着他的部分藏品来到现场，观众可以亲眼看到这些记忆，也可以感受到我们耳熟能详也未能真正关注的城市细节。
