With the U.S. presidential election fast approaching, this year's AmCham Shanghai DC Doorknock took place at a critical juncture in U.S.-China relations. Regardless of the outcome in November, a new administration with new priorities will enter the White House.     President at AmCham Shanghai

    Eric Zheng is the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, responsible for supporting over 3,000 member companies in the Yangtze River Delta area. He has previously served on the board of AmCham Shanghai as a member, treasurer, secretary, vice chairman, and 2018-2019 chairman.

    Eric had a long career with American International Group (AIG) with a series of executive positions that culminated in his service as President & CEO of AIG China. Before AIG, Eric worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce as the principal commercial officer at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou. Prior to relocating to China, Eric worked for PwC in the U.S. for many years as a management consultant. Eric holds several volunteer roles including the Greater China regional chair and a board director of the Committee of 100, a non-partisan organization of prominent Chinese Americans.

    Jeffrey Lehman is the Vice Chancellor of NYU Shanghai, where he oversees all academic and administrative operations. Lehman is an internationally acclaimed leader in higher education, having served as dean of the University of Michigan Law School, the 11th president of Cornell University, and the founding dean of the Peking University School of Transnational Law.

    Prior to joining the University of Michigan Law School, Lehman served as a law clerk to Frank M. Coffin, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and Associate Justice John Paul Stevens of the United States Supreme Court. He then spent four years at Caplin & Drysdale, a Washington, DC law firm. Throughout his professional and academic career, Lehman has volunteered his time and energy to nonprofit organizations that share his commitments in the fields of higher education, law, and technology.

    Lehman received an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Cornell University, an MPP from the University of Michigan, and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a multi-award winner for his work both in the United States and abroad, including the Friendship Award, which is China’s highest honor for “foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the country’s economic and social progress.” Lehman is also a recipient of an honorary doctorate from Peking University.

    Cameron has 20+ years of management experience across various industries in China. He is currently a partner at TidalWave, a boutique consulting firm based in Shanghai, and head of APAC strategy for FAO Global, a DC-based consultancy focused on global advisory services for SMEs. He is also an adjunct faculty member at New York University Shanghai, and an advisor to the National IDC Industrial Technological Innovation Strategic Alliance, a China-based technology association.

    Cameron was the Asia General Manager at a global carbon fiber company for seven years, where he expanded the business throughout the Asia region, delivering an average of 48% annual revenue growth. He was also the Operations Director for a global sourcing and risk management company, focused on consumer packaging, and customized prototypes. Cameron also served as a Business Manager at Microsoft. He has lived in China for 20 years in Beijing, Shanghai, Changchun, and Chongqing.

    Cameron received a graduate business certification from the University of Wales and graduated from the University of Washington with BAs in communications and comparative religion. He also serves as the co-president of the University of Washington’s Shanghai alumni chapter.

    Xiangwei is Asia President and an Executive Committee member of AptarGroup, a global leader in drug delivery, consumer product dispensing and material science solutions. She also serves as a non-executive director on the board of Oterra, a world leader in natural food colors headquartered in Denmark and is an advisor to EQT Group in Sweden.

    Xiangwei holds a rich career of 30+ years spanning Pharma, Beauty, Personal Care, Food, and Nutraceutical industries at multinational companies, including 20+ years in Switzerland, China, and America for Roche and DSM before joining Aptar in 2018. Xiangwei is recognized as a visionary and dynamic leader, who prides herself in her ability to think and act cross-culturally and to find win-win solutions in even the most difficult situations.

    Xiangwei is passionate about the development and advancement of women, young professionals, and youths in less economically developed areas. She is a senior advisor to sHero China and serves on the Board of Governors of Shanghai YZL Philanthropy Fund.

    Xiangwei is a frequent speaker and panelist on topics such as Doing Business in China and US-China Business Relationships.

    In December 2023, Xiangwei was interviewed at Aptar’s Suzhou facility, alongside US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns, by CBS correspondent Lesley Stahl in her segment An American in China featuring Ambassador Burns. In the interview, Xiangwei spoke about her long term optimism on China’s economic development, especially in the healthcare and consumer goods sectors. The story was aired on CBS Sunday program 60 Minutes on February 25, 2024.

    Xiangwei received her Bachelor of Economics from the University of International Business & Economics in Beijing and her EMBA from Columbia Business School in New York.

IoT ONE is a leading source of information and insight regarding Industrial Internet of Things vendors and solutions. Companies work with IoT ONE to develop their customer bases, partner ecosystems, and innovation strategies. As Chair of the IIC SFTG, Erik works with IIC members to reduce the risk for early adopters of Industrial IoT technologies in manufacturing. Through Startup Grind Erik supports the development of Shanghai's innovation ecosystem.
