At the start of the year, there was optimism for a rapid economic rebound as Covid restrictions were lifted, coupled with anticipated growth in the real estate sector. However, the recovery thus far has been uneven and has not met expectations. This raises questions about the future of the real estate market and what lies ahead in the next six months.

AmCham Shanghai's Real Estate, Design & Construction Committee would like to invite you to a discussion on the outlook of China and Shanghai's property sector on Wednesday, July 19, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Centre. Experts from the property industry will share their insights on the state of the recovery from a macroeconomic and financial perspective, occupier demand and new design & construction activity.

Speakers include Shaun Brodie, Head of Occupier Research, Greater China, Cushman & Wakefield; Ying Wang, Head of APAC Energy & Utilities Group and China Research Initiative, Fitch Ratings; and Jennifer Liu, Principal and Co-Managing Director of Gensler's Shanghai office. The discussion will be moderated by James Macdonald, Head of Savills Research China and Chair for the Real Estate, Design and Construction Committee at AmCham Shanghai.
