Home

On March 22, AmCham's Manufacturers' Business Council and Supply Chain Committee will host a joint 2023 China Manufacturing and Supply Chain Outlook. We'll begin with an overview of the key trends and challenges facing the manufacturing and supply chain sectors in China in the upcoming year. Following the presentations, the chairs of the committees will host panel discussions with key industry experts to take a deep dive into the sectors, focusing on both export-oriented and domestic-focused manufacturing.

We hope you'll join us for a comprehensive look at the factors affecting business and for practical sharing on how to maintain growth in an ever-changing market with huge geopolitical uncertainties.

Topics to be discussed:

1. Has headquarters changed their expectations or support for their China business? What are some examples of how to gain more support from headquarters?

2. What are the major challenges and opportunities for your business in 2023?

3. With China opening up, has your business showed signs of improvement?

4. As local governments have focused on fighting Covid for the past three years, since the end of zero-Covid, have you seen any changes in their approach to businesses?

5. Recent media reports show a large number of Chinese companies starting offshore production. Have any of your customers been doing so? Are you able to support these customers better than local competitors can?
