About Jinzhong:

Jinzhong City is in the central part of Shanxi Province, close to the provincial capital Taiyuan, with developed transportation network. Jinzhong has abundant mineral resources and agglomeration of industrial clusters. It is an old industrial base and a major supply base for agricultural and sideline products in Shanxi Province. Its important characteristic industries include coal, coking, metallurgy, electric power, textile machinery, glassware, carbon, and malleable steel casting. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Jinzhong will also vigorously develop eight emerging industries (new energy vehicles, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, modern medicine, modern food, modern coal chemical industry, photovoltaic cells and components, modern logistics), to comprehensively improve and strengthen the city's overall industrial chain.

晋中市地处山西省中部，紧邻省会太原，交通网络发达，是国家级文化生态保护实验区，拥有世界文化遗产平遥古城等著名景点。晋中矿产资源类多量丰，工业产业集群集聚，是山西省的老工业基地和农副产品主要供应基地，重要特色产业有：煤炭、焦化、冶金、电力、纺机、玻璃器皿、碳素、玛钢铸造。十四五期间，晋中还将大力发展八大新兴产业（新能源汽车、高端装备制造、新材料、现代医药、现代食品、现代煤化工、信创产业（光伏电池及组件）、现代物流），全方位完善并强化自身的产业链条。
