Join AmCham Shanghai's Women's Executive Network (WEN) and the German Chamber of Commerce's The Network of Executive Women in German Companies in China (WE.C.U) for an opportunity to hear WEN Vice-Chair, Erica Ruzic and WE.C.U Head, Brigitte Wolff interview Simone Menne, former CFO at Boehringer Ingelheim. Simone was recently appointed to serve as the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany. Simone Menne also serves as a non-executive board member for Henkel, Deutsche Post DHL, JCI, and Russell Reynolds.


This dialogue will be from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Thursday, March 31 online via Zoom.

    President at AmCham Germany

    Simone Menne started her career for ITT, later joining Deutsche Lufthansa. In 2012, Ms. Menne was appointed CFO and stayed in this position till 2015. She worked as CFO at Boehringer Ingelheim from 2016 to 2017. In both companies, she was responsible for the foundation of the digital lab. Ms. Menne serves as a non-executive board member for Henkel, Deutsche Post DHL, JCI, and Russell Reynolds. She also owns an art gallery in Kiel, Germany, and is the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V.

    Erica Ruzic

    Product at ByteDance

    Erica is the Global Program Management Officer at ByteDance. At ByteDance, Erica leads teams covering core business strategy and operations for TikTok. She covers a range of topics including content, growth, organizational design, privacy, and children’s safety.

    Erica studies the role of innovation across enterprises and has advised start-ups on a variety of expansion-related challenges. She has launched over 100 physical and digital products from concept through ship.

    Prior to ByteDance, she was a global PM at PepsiCo, where she sat on the global innovation leadership team. She was also Director of Innovation at Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures-backed start-up Soylent, where she led the domestic and international growth pipeline. Earlier in her career, Erica was a financial analyst in the consumer sector and worked with direct-to-consumer and B2B businesses globally.

    President at EIM Executive Interim Management China

    Brigitte Wolff is the Managing Director of EIM Executive Interim Management China and has been working more than 18 years in China. During this period, she was a Partner at Booz&Company China, MD and Partner of Management Engineers Business Consulting China and founder of Abacus Corporation China. Since 2008 she is also a board member at the German Chamber Shanghai and its charity activities, such as the ‘More than a Market’ Initiative, working with German companies’ social engagement in China. Since 2017 she serves as a board member of the European Chamber of Commerce China in Shanghai. Prior to that she held management positions in Germany at Oliver Wyman and Constantia Packaging as well as Steinbeis Packaging. She holds a German Engineer Diploma from Technical University of Munich.
