AmCham Shanghai Suzhou Center is kicking off its 2022 annual e-waste recycling drive by collaborating with Netspring Green IT Programs on Friday, August 26, 2022.

AmCham Shanghai's 2022 annual e-waste recycling drive provides a unique opportunity for companies and social organizations to preserve our planet's resources for future generations.

E-waste Drive

All members and non-members are welcome to register for this event by Friday, August 19, and the Suzhou Center will welcome the drop-off of obsolete computers and electronics on a separate date (TBD) depending on the registration. Participants will receive a certificate and photos of appreciation at our office with their contributions. If the quantity is above 30pc, we could arrange on-site pick up and the certificate and photo awards.

Please download the equipment handover list here, fill it out and send it to suzhou@amcham-shanghai.org no later than Friday, August 19. If you wish to receive a certificate, please also include the full name of your company in the email.

Considering the situation of the epidemic crisis, we could arrange on-site pick up if the quantity is above 30pcs, but please still submit the "equipment handover list" to AmCham before May 20 and mark the contact information.

Items include:

• Computers, laptops, and hard drives (all computers are welcome, those still with a hard drive and memory stick will bring more sustainable impact to the society)
• Monitors, keyboards, and mice
• Printers, scanners, and fax machines
• Cables, extension cords, adapters, USBs, plugs, and wires
• Cameras, mobile phones, etc.
• Other related parts and accessories (except mercury-containing fluorescent tubes)

About Netspring

Netspring will recycle the collections and refurbish the reusable items to outfit e-classrooms in rural or migrant schools throughout China as digital tools are key to access learning for all. Founded in 2012, Netspring is a pioneer social enterprise dedicated to transforming e-waste into e-education. In the past 9 years collaborating with AmCham Shanghai and sponsors, the Netspring team has provided access to digital technology for more than 70,000 children to benefit from a better education, whilst protecting the environment. Netspring teams also organize volunteering and team-building activities in the schools for corporate volunteers and local communities. Since 2020, Netspring developed distance teaching in the time of COVID-19 and provided distance support to the students and their teachers which received extremely positive feedback.

上海美国商会苏州中心将与汇益泽绿色电脑项目合作发起年度电子废旧物品再生行动，以此作为启动2022年地球日活动的标志。

上海美国商会2022年国际地球日活动为公司和社会组织提供了一个难得的契机，为我们的子孙后代共同守护地球资源。

电子废旧物再生行动

欢迎所有注册的公司或个人在2022年8月19日（星期五）之前注册本次活动。我会苏州中心会根据各注册单位情况另行择日通知在苏州中心办公室集中交接废旧电脑和其他电子产品。所有参与者将在现场获得荣誉证书并留照合影以此感谢其贡献。对于废旧电子设备(电脑和显示屏)的数量超过了30台的捐赠方，我们将另行安排上门接收，并在捐赠地点颁发荣誉证书及合影以感谢其贡献。

在您注册活动之后，请在这里下载设备交接清单。请您在8月19日（星期五）之前寄回至 suzhou@amcham-shanghai.org。如果您希望获得荣誉证书，请提前在电子邮件中注明填写的名称。

考虑到疫情原因，若废旧电子设备(电脑和显示屏)的数量超过了30台，我们将另行安排上门接收，但请您依旧在5月20日前向美国商会提交设备交接清单，并注明联系方式。

可接收的电子废旧物包括：

• 台式机，笔记本电脑和硬盘驱动器（任何种类的电脑均可，那些装有硬盘驱动器和记忆卡的计算机也可为社会带来可持续的影响）
• 显示器，键盘和鼠标
• 打印机，扫描仪和传真机
• 电缆，延长线，适配器，USB，插头和电线
• 相机，手机等
• 其他相关零件和配件（含汞的荧光灯管除外）

汇益泽团队介绍

汇益泽团队针对这些电子产品，对其中可重复使用的设备进行翻新，用于支持绿色电脑教室项目。该项目旨在为中国农村和随迁子女学校搭建绿色电脑教室，协助老师进行数字化教学，并使学生接触到更多学习机会。若想了解有关更多信息，请发送邮件至contact@netspringworld.com。所有收集到的电子产品都将用于支持汇益泽绿色电脑项目。
