About Qinzhou City

Qinzhou City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region locates in the center of the Beibu Gulf, which is on the coastline of southwest China. Qinzhou is also at the junction of the ASEAN Economic Circle, the Southwest Economic Circle, and the South China Economic Circle. It has an area of approximately 10,800 square kilometers, a coastline of 560 kilometers, and a permanent resident population of 4.2 million. Being famous for its pottery, dolphins, fruits and Longevity Village, the city is rich in marine, agricultural, mineral, animal, and plant resources.

广西壮族自治区钦州市位于中国西南海岸线的北部湾中心，地处东盟经济圈、西南经济圈和华南经济圈的结合点，面积约1.08万平方公里，海岸线约560公里，常住人口约420万，海洋、农业、矿产、动植物等资源丰富，是著名的坭兴陶都、海豚之乡、水果之乡和长寿之乡。

About the Qinzhou Port Area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone

Total port-vicinity area: 260 km2

The Qinzhou Port Area consists of three state-level development zones: China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, Guangxi Qinzhou Free Trade Port Area, and Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is Guangxi's largest free trade zone and the province's only pilot free trade zone near the sea. The Chinese government has positioned it strategically as a gateway port of new international land-sea trade corridor, a coastal economy clustering zone, and the China-ASEAN cooperation demonstration zone.

中国（广西）自由贸易试验区钦州港片区位于钦州市南部，2019年8月正式挂牌成立。由中国—马来西亚钦州产业园区、广西钦州保税港区、钦州港经济技术开发区等3个国家级开发园区组成，实施面积58.19平方公里、临港管辖面积约260平方公里，是广西面积最大、唯一临海的自贸试验片区。国家赋予"国际陆海贸易新通道门户港、向海经济产业集聚区和中国—东盟合作示范区"重大战略定位，地理位置优越。

About the "New Western Land-Sea Corridor"

In 2019, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the "Master Plan for the New Western Land-Sea Corridor". The development of the Beibu Gulf where Qinzhou City is located is an important strategy for China's Belt and Road Initiative.

The "New Western Land-Sea Corridor" is an important part of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) strategic interconnection demonstration project. This passage uses railway, highway, water transportation, aviation, and other transportation methods, from Chongqing to the south through Guangxi Beibu Gulf and other coastal border ports, to connect to the main logistics nodes of Singapore and ASEAN. The running time of this channel to the sea is about 10 days less than that of going to the sea through the eastern region in China.

关于"西部陆海新通道"

2019年国家发展改革委印发了《西部陆海新通道总体规划》，钦州市所处的北部湾的开发是国家一带一路的重要战略。

"西部陆海新通道"是中新（重庆）战略性互联互通示范项目的重要组成部分。该通道利用铁路、公路、水运、航空等多种运输方式，由重庆向南经贵州等省份，通过广西北部湾等沿海沿边口岸，通达新加坡及东盟主要物流节点，运行时间比经东部地区出海节约10天左右。
