China has recently promulgated a number of laws and regulations on cybersecurity and data protection. These upcoming laws and regulations lay down critical obligations for companies on cybersecurity maintenance and data compliance, which are closely related to companies' daily operations. Certain rules may substantially affect companies' business decisions on various issues, such as product design involving personal information processing, internal data processing process, selection of network equipment suppliers, onshore and offshore data processing arrangement, global data server deployment strategy and even IPO planning.

Through this seminar, Kate Yin and Gil Zhang from Fangda Partners will present their dissection and insight on China's recent data protection legislation, navigate companies through the regulatory trend in light of recent law enforcement practices, and share thoughtful ideas for data compliance of domestic and foreign companies.

Fangda Partners will be covering:

  • China's Data Security Law, Regulations on Protection of Critical Information Infrastructures, Personal Information Protection Law and Cyber Security Review Measures (revised draft for consultation)
  • Cross-border data transfer and data localization
  • Recent regulatory and law enforcement trend

  • 《数据安全法》《关键信息保护条例》《个人信息保护法》《网络安全审查办法(修订版征求意见稿)》
